Advanced Aquatics & Lifesaving Courses 

 

Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid CPR-C (Ages 16)

Standard First Aid provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. This course is for those who want an in-depth understanding of first aid such as; medical/legal aspects, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns, and medical emergencies. Includes CPR-C certification.

Fall Session: October 3 & 4, 2015

Winter Session: December 5 & 6, 2015, February 27 & 28, 2016

Spring Session: April 23 & 24, 2016

Summer Session: June 18 & 19, 2016

Class Time: Saturday & Sunday 9:00am to 5:00pm

Manual Fee: Standard First Aid Manual (BK06 $16.00) tax

Masters Group (Ages 18 yrs)
This adult only program is a successful blend of fitness,stroke improvement and fun! It is not necessary to haveprevious experience in competitive swimming. Workoutsare structured for all levels of ability by a qualified swimcoach. Bronze Star (Ages 12)
Bronze Star provides excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion. Participants developproblem-solving and decision-making skills individually and in partners. Candidates learn CPR anddevelop the lifesaving skills needed to be their own lifeguard. Bronze Medallion with Emergency First Aid B (Ages 13)

Bronze Cross (Ages 14)
Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training includingan introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. National Lifeguard Service & Standard First Aid CPR-C (Ages 16)

Red Cross Assistant Swim Instructor (AWSI) (Ages 16)
This course covers the foundation of instructional skills including teaching methods, learning styles,physical principles, progressions, communication, safety supervision and feedback. Candidates areevaluated during 18 hours of assistant teaching and through individual study assignments. Tri-Instructors (Ages 16)
Swim Instructor Certification for Red Cross, YMCA & Lifesaving Society.
